Williams has 21, Lindenwood knocks off Southern Indiana 73-60
January 30, 2026 - 11:45
A strong performance from Dontrez Williams propelled the Lindenwood Lions to a 73-60 road victory over the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles on Thursday night. Williams led all scorers with 21 points in the contest, providing the consistent offensive firepower needed to secure the win.
The Lions established control in the first half and maintained their composure throughout. While Williams anchored the scoring, a balanced team effort solidified the lead. Lindenwood's defense was equally crucial, effectively containing Southern Indiana's offensive schemes and creating opportunities to pull away.
Southern Indiana struggled to find an offensive rhythm against a determined Lindenwood squad. Despite playing on their home court in Evansville, the Screaming Eagles could not mount a sustained comeback in the second half, as Lindenwood consistently answered every challenge.
This result marks a significant conference win for Lindenwood, showcasing their ability to perform on the road. The team's cohesive play on both ends of the floor proved too much for Southern Indiana to overcome. The Lions will look to carry this momentum forward as they continue their season.
