The New York Yankees made a series of roster moves on Tuesday, receiving a pair of reinforcements while losing a key arm to the injured list. Grisham, acquired in the Juan Soto trade, returns after a brief stint on the IL with a calf strain. He provides elite defense in center field and a left-handed bat that has been streaky at the plate. LeMahieu, meanwhile, has been out with a foot contusion. His return is critical for a Yankees infield that has seen Gleyber Torres and Anthony Volpe struggle at times. With Rodon out, the Yankees will likely turn to a bullpen game or recall a starter from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to fill his spot in the rotation. The team remains in the thick of the playoff race, but these injuries continue to test their depth.
