Teagan Kavan delivered a dominant complete-game performance, scattering just three hits, while Katie Stewart continued her torrid postseason pace with her fourth home run in four games. The Texas Longhorns seized control of the Women's College World Series finals on Wednesday night, defeating Texas Tech 7-3 in Game 1.

Kavan was in control from the first pitch, working efficiently through the Texas Tech lineup and allowing only a handful of threats. She struck out seven batters and walked two, keeping the Red Raiders off balance with a mix of movement and location.
