Neymar's Injury Keeps Him Out of Upcoming World Cup Qualifiers
March 15, 2025 - 15:13
Neymar will miss the chance to rejoin the Brazilian national team for the crucial World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina due to an ongoing injury. Brazilian coach Dorival Junior confirmed late Friday that Neymar, along with defender Danilo and goalkeeper Ederson, will not participate in the matches. While no detailed explanation was provided, it is known that Neymar has been dealing with a left thigh muscle injury sustained earlier in the month.
The talented forward expressed his disappointment on social media, stating that he had hoped for a swift recovery and a return to the pitch. He emphasized the honor of representing Brazil, referring to it as "the most difficult shirt in the world." This news comes as a setback for the national team as they prepare for these vital qualifiers. Neymar's absence will be felt, as he is a key player in Brazil's pursuit of securing a spot in the upcoming World Cup.
