The concept is ambitious. By locking in programs with deep fan bases and national brand power, the event hopes to guarantee sellout crowds and massive television ratings. The remaining three slots would likely be filled by other top-tier programs, creating a bracket that could feature more combined national championships than a typical Final Four.
