Jets Part Ways with Veteran Kicker Greg Zuerlein
May 17, 2025 - 02:11
In a surprising turn of events, the Jets have announced the release of veteran kicker Greg Zuerlein. This decision follows the earlier departure of punter Thomas Morstead, marking a significant shift in the team's special teams lineup. Zuerlein, who joined the Jets prior to the season, had been a reliable option for the team, converting a notable percentage of his field goal attempts.
The Jets are now looking to revamp their kicking game as they prepare for the upcoming challenges of the season. Zuerlein's experience and skill set will certainly be missed, but the team is likely aiming to explore new options that could better align with their strategic goals moving forward.
As the Jets continue to make adjustments, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how the team's special teams will take shape in the coming weeks. This move signals a commitment to change and improvement as the Jets strive for success on the field.
