Former NFL wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has made his retirement intentions clear, and they do not involve the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite winning a Super Bowl with the Eagles during the 2017 season, Jeffery indicated he does not plan to retire as a member of the organization.

During a recent appearance on Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Jeffery was asked about the status of his retirement paperwork. "It's coming soon," Jeffery said on the show. The conversation gave the former receiver a chance to address his future and reflect on a career that included standout seasons with the Chicago Bears before his time in Philadelphia.

Jeffery was a key part of the Eagles' championship run, catching a touchdown in the Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots. His preference to not retire with Philadelphia adds an interesting wrinkle to how his career will be remembered by fans in the city.

The former second-round pick out of South Carolina finishes his career with over 6,000 receiving yards and more than 40 touchdowns. His retirement will officially close the book on a productive run that saw him become a reliable target at the professional level.
