Denver Broncos rookie running back Jonah Coleman is turning heads as the preseason comes to a close. After a standout performance in the team's final exhibition game, Coleman has drawn what one source described as a "massive endorsement" from the coaching staff. The undrafted free agent out of UCLA has been fighting for a roster spot all summer, and his latest outing may have sealed the deal.

Coleman showed a blend of power and burst against the opposing defense, picking up tough yards between the tackles and breaking a few tackles in the open field. He finished the night with solid numbers on the ground and added a couple of catches out of the backfield, showing he can be a versatile piece in the offense. What seemed to impress the coaches most, though, was his pass protection. Coleman stepped up to meet blitzers and kept his quarterback clean on multiple third-down plays.

Head coach Sean Payton has been known to favor running backs who can do it all, and Coleman appears to fit that mold.
